Can you drive a stick shift? Who taught you? Yes, my first car was a stick shift - my Dad taught me. He even had a graph to show me which gear to use for what speed I was driving - thanks Dad! :)

How old are you today? 25

What is your favorite sport to watch on TV? Football

What is your favorite drink? Water

Have you ever dyed your hair? Yes - I love the woman that does my hair - Alexis from Magnum Opus

Favorite food? I'm a total foodie - love tapas, cheeses, bread, fresh fruit and veggies - ok, and ice cream!

What is the last movie you watched? The Usual Suspects

Favorite day of the year? This is a tough one - not to be a total dork - our wedding anniversary - it's fun to celebrate together

What was your favorite toy as a child? Stuffed animals

What is your favorite season? Spring and Summer

Cherries or Blueberries? Blueberries - I eat them most mornings with my oatmeal

Living arrangements? House in Beaverton, OR with Kyle and our two dogs (Desilu, yellow lab and Marcus, mini schnauzer).

When was the last time you cried? Over the holidays

What is on the floor of your closet? Shoes and slippers

What did you do last night? Made dinner with Kyle, played with our dogs and watched American Idol .

What are you most afraid of? Right now, the down economy - ready for things to bounce back.

Pepperoni, hamburger, cheese or Supreme pizza? For those options, cheese.

Favorite breed of dog? labs and mini schnauzers - of course! :)

Snow, snow, snow

Portland has been experiencing some unusually cold and snowy weather. We've had several snow days over the past week and Saturday, 12/20 was no exception. Take a look at some pictures of the front and backyard of our house after the big snow.









By the way, I was working on defrosting the car, so i could head to the store for some DayQuil and our neighbor stopped me to make sure I was being safe since the roads are so icy. He suggested I stay home and ran inside his home to get a full bottle of DayQuil for us. He said - please let us know if there is anything else you need. How awesome!

It's beginning to look a lot like...

the holidays are here! We've decorated our tree, purchased gifts for our families, listened to holiday music, been receiving cards from family and friends and it snowed all day Sunday, 12/14. If you've ever been to Portland, you know that the city pretty much shuts down with any snow. We are expecting another big storm tomorrow morning as well - maybe we'll have another white Christmas this year. Take a look at some festive photos from the weekend (Marcus got his first haircut and mohawk!) and from our trip to Maui in October - we saw Santa!

Day at the beach...

We had an impromptu day of fun at the Oregon coast with some great friends this weekend. We were able to run our dogs ragged at the beach (they even jumped in the ocean), eat at a local hot spot (Main Street Pizza) in Tillamook, take a quick tour and get some ice cream from the Tillamook Creamery. The season is upon us...

...basketball season that it. Portland has been waiting patiently (we're talking years) as the Trailblazers have been rebuilding to step away from the dreaded "JailBlazers" days.

Well, the time has come - RIP CITY is back! Get excited as Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, LaMarcus Aldridge, Rudy Fernández, Nicholas Batum, Steve Blake and the rest of the team take off this year.



We'll be watching....will you be? GO BLAZERS!!!

Beautiful new plants - oh wait!

OK - so we've been super busy lately, I joke about the pictures of our "new plants" from our previous post - we actually got a new puppy! He's a mini schnauzer named Marcus. He is the perfect compliment to our yellow lab Desi. She's actually 1 year old TODAY!!!
